Missouri-Yellowstone fish species


Home to 45 different species

There are 45 different species of fish found in Montana's Missouri River below Fort Peck Dam and in the lower reaches of the Yellowstone River. That's just more than half of the 86 species of fish found in the whole state of Montana. Of the 45 total species, 30 of them are native species.
