January, 2003, Meeting Minutes

On January 2, the Montana Pikemasters Billings Chapter held its monthly meeting at the Eagles Lodge in Billings, MT.

The treasury reported $3,413.00 after $200.00 for General Liability Insurance.
Old Business that was brought up was 70 trees from Laurel and Joliet MT are being donated to the Montana Pikemasters club for structures in the lakes and ponds around Montana.  When we put together the trees in the spring, The Montana Pikemasters will be having a BBQ.

The end of March or beginning of April when the ice is gone we will start depositing these trees into the lakes and ponds for structure for the fish.

Update on the Kids Fishing Day, If anyone would like to help out with putting the Kids Fishing Day together please contact Becky & Greg Heil @ 252-8996. 

Web page update - Stewart Merritt picked up a 30-day demo of software that is being used for designing the webpage.  It was passed to pay $170.00 the cost of the program to maintain this website.  The website needs Pictures, information & other use full ideas that can be put on the website.

Coal Bed Methane - A rough draft of a letter that Montana Pikemasters is going to send a letter to the Montana's Governors office and the Office of the Environmental Resources Office.
Camp-Make-a- Dream hat was passed around once more it collected $55.00.  All of these proceeds go directly to Camp-Make-a-Dream for children that have cancer and terminal illness.

The club voted to pass up on the Missoula Outdoor Show.  We will have a Presentation at the February Meeting from a gentleman from Great Falls, be sure to come to the next meeting for that presentation.

Next Meeting is February 6th, 2002 at the Eagles Lodge. Be sure to come and buy some raffle tickets for the prizes.
