Fish, fishing info
Fort Peck surveys
Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks biologist Mike Ruggles has shared some of his survey results which relate to northern pike and the forage base in Fort Peck Reservoir.
Annual netting surveys are done on the lake to compare fish populations from year to year, to check on spawning production and to monitor the forage base that feeds species like northern pike, walleyes, lake trout and chinook salmon in the lake.
Here are charts of some of the findings he presented in his annual management report for 2004:
Northern pike netting
Cisco years
Shoreline forage
Pike young of the year
