Let's face it. No fish weight calculator is perfect. Some northern pike are fatter. Some are thinner. Some are somewhere in between. But here's a northern pike weight calculator that will give you a pretty good idea of what the average pike weighs at a particular length. It's based on an In-Fisherman Magazine formula from northern pike around the country. These weights are used by the Montana PikeMasters in its inches-to-pounds tournament format which allows fish to be released soon after they're caught at measure boats stationed throughout the tournament area. The system was devised to increase the survival rate of northern pike caught and released in tournaments. Just click on the drop-down menu to choose the length of the northern, select it and then click on the "Click for weight" button. It will give you an idea of what you need to hook the next time you're out on the water to catch the biggest pike of your life. Calculate your pike's weight: |
