Above, Idaho Fish and Game's Joe DuPont holds up the new Idaho state record northern pike which was caught on April 17 on Coeur d'Alene Lake by Bob Ringer, in photo below. According to Idaho Fish and Game, the huge pike weighed 39 pounds, 13 ounces and was 48.5 inches long and 27.5 inches in girth. The big pike also qualifies for a world line class record for 14-pound test. It was Ringer's first fish of the year.
