Meyers-Meyers wins 2003 Fort Peck tourney The team of Paul and Hank Meyers, of Billings, won the Montana PikeMasters tournament on Fort Peck Reservoir last weekend with a total catch of 84.42 pounds of pike. First-place prize in the tournament, held out of the Rock Creek Marina, was $353. Coming in second-place in the event were Billings fishermen Joe Stenglein and Bob Rausch with 54.48 pounds. The big pike of the tournament was 16.95 pounds and was caught by Alan VanCleave, of Miles City. Top finishers in the event were: 1. Paul Meyers and Hank Meyers, Billings, 84.42 pounds, $353. 2. Joe Stenglein and Bob Rausch, Billings, 54.48, $260. 3. Joseph Ortiz, Shepherd, and Robert Heiser, Glendive, 47.08, $156. 4. Alan VanCleave and Clint Roberts, Miles City, 40.17, $104. 5. Bob Dolly, Billings and Conrad Sandaker, Laurel, 33.57, $93. 6. Clay Buckmiller and Jamie Buckmiller, Billings, 33.07, $72. Saskatchewan fishing trip drawing winner: Jim Alsobrook, Billings. |
